Day 3-THIS is the day He has made.

It isn’t very hard to find a Silver Lining today.  I just have to look out the window and notice what a gorgeous day this is and it is easy for me to be in a good mood.  Psalms 118:24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it immediately came to mind today.  It sure is easy to praise Him and rejoice in the cooler temperatures (cool enough that I slept with my windows open in mid-July last night) we have had the past day or so.  The sun is shining, a breeze is blowing, birds are singing, and (shocker!) pretty much no humidity!

I got to thinking about this verse a bit more, though.  It doesn’t say this perfect, peaceful, beautiful day is the day God made.  It simply says, THIS is the day He made.  He did make this perfect, cool, beautiful day, but He also makes all the ones in between too.

We all know that He made everything and that each day happens because He allows it too.  But, if we realize that each and every single day He is handcrafting and planning it, putting His thought and effort into what it will be like, we will be able to recognize His beauty all around us not just on the “pretty” days, but also on the rainy and cloudy days, the stormy days, the cold, wintry days, and the scorching hot, humid days.

This verse tells us to rejoice in every single day we are given and be glad in something each day.  Some days are harder than others, but if we look around us we will be able to see the goodness and blessings He has given.  Not only that this day is simply here, but this day grab life by the horns and make a conscious effort to be glad in it!

Psalms 118:29 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good;  for his mercy endureth forever.  Thank you, Lord, for this amazing day, and for all the ones in between the amazing days, too!
