Sometimes I worry myself to death about things. I know that I am supposed to not worry and that to worry is a sin, but it is so hard to just let go and let Him work. I want a little piece of the problem to fix every single time, but really, I don’t need a piece. I am not capable of fixing everything, or anything for that matter, as ably as He is. He knows what is best and, therefore, my worrying is pointless. I am comforted by I John 5:15: “And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him”. I have enough faith, and strong enough faith, to believe that when I pray God truly hears me. Therefore, He knows the desires of my heart. If my fervent, heart-felt prayers are going through, then, this verse tells us, that we already have what we desire in the works and headed our way. It may take a bit longer to get these answers to our prayers than we want, but I have enough faith, and strong enough faith, that they ARE on their way. God’s ways are so much better than mine, and no amount of worrying on my part is going to change what He has planned. I trust Him completely!
Silver lining for today: I am giving my worry up to You today and letting You handle it!
