Help Will Always Come in Time

There is a song that I love.  It says, “He never promised that the cross would not get heavy or the hills would not be hard to climb.  He never promised victory without fighting, but He said help would always come in time.”  He never promised us that the jobs He will give us would be easy.  In fact, working for God is sometimes the most challenging thing you can do because working for Him makes the devil unhappy and then the devil tries to tear you down piece by piece.  Psalms 121 says (verses 1-3) “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.  My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.”  My help comes from Him!  I need to look up to Him in times of trouble and He will help me keep my feet on the right path.  And not only does this verse tell me He will help me, it says He that keeps me does not slumber.  That means God doesn’t “fall asleep at the wheel.”  He is alert and ready to help me at all times, day or night.  He is watching out for trouble in my path, can see it coming, and can help me take the steps it takes to walk around or right through the middle of that trouble.  Sometimes while working for Him, He allows us to avoid trouble by helping us walk around it.  But other times, He sends us right up the middle and then helps us get through it.  Either way, He is still helping us!  So, just because pain, worry, sorrow, or difficulties come we shouldn’t wonder where He is.  Sometimes the pain, worry, sorrow, or difficulties are the way that we grow closer to Him, grow in our faith, and grow in our understanding.   God’s help comes in different forms and may not always look the same, but one thing is for sure:  it is ALWAYS there.  His help is exactly what I need-it is tailor made for me at the time and for the situation.  Thank you, Lord, for giving me a cross to bear for you and for sending the help always on time!

Sliver lining:  My 2 little ones fell asleep for nap time, at the same time, without a paci, in the same room, without any fussing at all!  First time in 6 months!!!  (He helped me with a tailor-made solution with this today, I know!)
