Deuteronomy 7:17-18-If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them? Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the Lord thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;
Are you facing a mountain that seems impossible to climb? I have been in that position many times before. The challenge in front of me seemed so great and scary and intimidating that I felt there was absolutely no way I could overcome it. I have questioned why God brought me to the impassable peak and how I was supposed to scale it. But, I eventually realized that I was never alone. When I faced an “impossible” task, God was always there with me. God doesn’t want us to fear the challenges ahead. He wants us to lean on Him, pray, ask for His help, and get busy overcoming the obstacles. He can move mountains for us, or He can help us climb the arduous ones that He feels we need to climb. Sometimes those mountains dissipate before our very eyes. Sometimes they grow in height. Either way, God has a plan for us. It may be a plan to affirm our faith, it may be a plan to help us grow and learn something new, it may be a plan to show others His might by watching us succeed. Be assured there is a plan, and it is not an instillation of fear in our lives. So climb! Climb leaning on His mighty hand!
