My Own Land

Ezekiel 37:14–And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord.

I am so thankful that God placed me in my own land–the United States, Tennessee, East Tennessee. I love it here and would never trade the freedoms I am granted for anywhere else. I would love to travel and see the world, but, for me, I already live exactly where I dream of living. I am thankful that God gave me the exact heritage I have–my parents, my aunts and uncles, my cousins, my brother–and I am thankful that the decisions my ancestors made resulted in my being a US citizen.

But, more importantly than my physical location, I am thankful that I have the greatest freedom of all–the saving power of Jesus Christ, the guarantee that I will avoid Hell. My own land will be Heaven someday–and nothing could top that.
